Not registered? No Problem. Voter Registration is open until October 24. 


After October 24 you can register and vote early at the Fremont County Elections Office. 


On Election Day, November 8, you can go to any Vote Center and register and vote.


Bring your Drivers License to register to vote. Other forms of ID may be accepted.

You can vote in person between September 23rd and November 7th at the Fremont County Clerk's Office at 450 North 2nd Street, Room 220 in Lander. They are open from 8-5 each weekday.

You can request an absentee ballot at any time during the calendar year in which the election is held but not on the day of the election. Absentee voting begins, and ballots are distributed, 45 days before the election.


To request an absentee ballot, contact the Fremont County Clerk's Office. You will need to provide your full name, residence address, mailing address, and date of birth. Remember to ensure that your absentee ballot is returned to your County Clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.


Yes! Starting with this election Wyoming voters must present an ID to vote. The following forms of identification are accepted:

  • WY Driver's License or ID Card 
  • Tribal ID Card 
  • Valid US Passport 
  • US Military Card 
  • DL or ID Card from Another State 
  • University of Wyoming  Student ID 
  • Wyoming Community College Student ID 
  • Wyoming Public School  Student ID 
  • Valid Medicare or Medicaid Insurance Card
